CNN —Detroit Pistons forward Isaiah Stewart has been suspended three games without pay after an altercation with a Phoenix Suns player prior to a game between the two teams, the NBA announced. The 22-year-old was arrested for assault after punching Suns forward Drew Eubanks before the two teams played on February 14 at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona. “The attack on Drew Eubanks was unprovoked, and acts of violence such as this are unacceptable,” a Suns spokesperson previously told CNN. Stewart is in his fourth season with the Pistons, averaging 11 points and 6.8 rebounds per game in 35 games played this season. The dead baby girl was found in a trash bin in a women’s bathroom at main airport in Phoenix on Oct. 10, 2005. Wrapped in newspapers and a towel, the newborn had been stuffed into a plastic bag from a Marriott Hotel, the police said. Detectives immediately began investigating the death of the child, who came to be known as Baby Skylar. A medical examiner determined two days after the baby was found that she had been suffocated and was the victim of a homicide. Ms. Anderson was in custody in Washington on Tuesday, and was awaiting extradition to Maricopa County, Ariz., Lt. James Hester of the Phoenix Police Department said at the news conference.

A man who had $40,000 cash seized by police had to wait almost three years to get it back. Jerry Johnson arrived at Phoenix Airport in August 2020 when detectives took his savings. The nonprofit represented Johnson in his appeal after a trial court ruled that he could not even contest the forfeiture of his money. Johnson, who proved ownership of the money according to the court documents, was not charged with any crime. In a statement, The Journal said that it is “deeply concerned” with how its reporter was treated and has asked the Phoenix Police Department to conduct an investigation. The video shows Rabouin repeatedly identified himself as a reporter for The Journal, but the officer did not appear to care. A representative for Chase told me Thursday that the bank did apologize to Rabouin over the incident. An arrest has been made in connection to a burglary at the campaign headquarters of Katie Hobbs, the Democratic nominee for governor of Arizona, Phoenix police said Thursday. Hobbs’ campaign confirmed to NBC News that it was made aware of the arrest. The burglary comes amid reports of voter intimidation in Arizona, where Hobbs, as secretary of state, is the top election official. In a statement Wednesday, Hobbs’ campaign manager tied the reports of alleged voter intimidation to Lake and other election deniers. She added that “Hobbs and her staff have faced hundreds of death threats and threats of violence over the course of this campaign.”

Phoenix police said they had arrested Daniel Mota Dos Reis, 36, in connection to a burglary. "We are very thankful that the Phoenix Police Department acted so quickly to arrest a suspect," Hobbs' campaign manager, Nicole DeMont, said in a statement.
